Rinse 2 cups of white rice under cold running water using a fine mesh strainer to remove excess starch.
Place the rinsed rice into the Instant Pot.
Pour in 2 cups of chicken broth, beef broth, or water.
Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil and a pinch of salt if desired for extra flavor. (optional)
Close the lid and set the Instant Pot to "High Pressure" for 3 minutes using the manual setting.
After the cooking time is complete, allow the Instant Pot to naturally release pressure for at least 10 minutes.
Open the Instant Pot, fluff the rice with a fork, and serve immediately.
