Quick and Easy Rice in the Instant Pot

Equipment

  • 1 pressure cooker
  • fine mesh strainer
  • measuring cups
  • fork

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups rice
  • 2 cups broth or water

Instructions
 

  • Rinse 2 cups of white rice under cold running water using a fine mesh strainer to remove excess starch.
  • Place the rinsed rice into the Instant Pot.
  • Pour in 2 cups of chicken broth, beef broth, or water.
  • Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil and a pinch of salt if desired for extra flavor. (optional)
  • Close the lid and set the Instant Pot to "High Pressure" for 3 minutes using the manual setting.
  • After the cooking time is complete, allow the Instant Pot to naturally release pressure for at least 10 minutes.
  • Open the Instant Pot, fluff the rice with a fork, and serve immediately.
