ground hamburger meat

Instructions
In a small bowl, combine the old fashioned oats and water. Stir until the oats are moist but not mushy.
Place the ground hamburger meat into a large bowl. Season with salt and black pepper.
Add the moistened oats to the meat and mix until everything is well combined.
Divide the meat mixture into 8 equal portions and form into hamburger patties.
Heat a large cast iron skillet over low to medium heat. Melt the butter in the skillet.
Place the patties into the skillet and cook low and slow for 7–8 minutes per side.
Cook until the burgers reach an internal temperature of at least 160 degrees.
Serve on buns with your favorite toppings.
