Homemade Liquid Laundry Detergent

liquid castile soap

washing soda
sodium carbonate

baking soda
sodium bicarbonate

Epsom salt

Room-temperature water
to fill jar
Instructions
Bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil in a large pot.
Add liquid castile soap, washing soda, baking soda, and Epsom salt to a heat-resistant half-gallon jar.
Carefully pour the boiling water over the ingredients in the jar. Stir until fully dissolved.
Fill the remaining space in the jar with room-temperature water, stirring gently.
Add 20–30 drops of essential oil for scent, if desired, and stir again.
Let the mixture cool completely, then seal the jar with an airtight lid. Shake well before each use.
Notes
Use 1/4 to 1/2 cup of detergent per load of laundry.
Shake well before use if ingredients separate.
