Homemade Golden Milk (Turmeric Latte Recipe)

Equipment

  • Small saucepan or small pot
  • measuring spoons
  • Spoon or whisk
  • fine mesh strainer
  • Mug
  • Milk frother (optional)

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup milk dairy, almond, oat, soy, coconut, or cashew
  • ½ tsp ground turmeric or 1 tsp fresh grated turmeric
  • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp ground ginger or ½ tsp fresh grated ginger
  • tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp maple syrup or honey

Instructions
 

  • Pour the milk into a small saucepan.
  • Add turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, and black pepper.
  • Whisk until well combined.
  • Simmer on low heat for 5–10 minutes (do not boil).
  • Strain into a mug.
  • Stir in maple syrup or honey.
  • Froth if desired and enjoy warm.
