Ingredients

chili powder
use mild or ancho chili powder if preferred

ground cumin

paprika
or smoked paprika for smoky flavor

tablespoons
onion powder

tablespoons
garlic powder

tablespoons
dried oregano
or Mexican oregano

tablespoon
black pepper

tablespoons
salt
Optional: 1–2 teaspoons cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes for heat

Instructions
Add all ingredients to a small bowl.
Stir or whisk until well combined.
Pour into an airtight container or mason jar.
Label with the name and date.
Store in a cool, dry, dark place like your spice cabinet.
Notes
To Use:
Use 2 tablespoons of seasoning per 1 pound of meat.
Add with 2/3 cup of water after browning the meat and simmer until thickened.
