Boil pasta in a large pot of salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
In a large oven-safe skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
Add ground beef or sausage. Brown the meat, breaking it into small pieces.
Stir in chopped onion and minced garlic. Cook until the onion softens.
Drain any excess fat from the skillet.
Add pasta sauce. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Italian seasoning. Simmer 5–7 minutes.
Stir in ricotta cheese and parmesan cheese until fully blended.
Turn off heat and mix in the cooked pasta until evenly coated.
Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the top.
Place skillet under broiler for 2–4 minutes, until cheese is melted and lightly browned.
Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
