Copycat Strawberry Cold Foam Recipe

Equipment

  • small saucepan
  • fine mesh sieve
  • Mason jar
  • small bowl
  • Handheld milk frother (or French press/blender)
  • Measuring spoons and cups

Ingredients
  

For the Strawberry Syrup

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup chopped fresh strawberries stems removed

For the Strawberry Cold Foam

  • 3 tbsp heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp milk of choice oat milk, coconut milk, or whole milk
  • 1-2 tbsp homemade strawberry syrup
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract optional

Instructions
 

  • In a small saucepan, bring water and sugar to a boil, stirring until dissolved.
  • Add chopped strawberries and let simmer for 20 minutes until deep red.
  • Strain the syrup through a fine mesh sieve, discarding the solids.
  • Transfer the syrup to a mason jar and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  • In a small bowl, mix heavy cream, milk of choice, vanilla extract, and 1-2 tablespoons of chilled strawberry syrup.
  • Froth the mixture using a handheld milk frother, French press, or blender until thick and foamy.
  • Fill a glass with ice cubes and pour in your favorite coffee or matcha drink.
  • Spoon the strawberry cold foam over the top.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!
