Air Fryer Sourdough Discard Cheese Crackers Recipe

Equipment

  • 1 Food Processor
  • 1 air fryer these can be made in an oven as well
  • 1 spatula

Ingredients
  

  • 3/4 cups cheese
  • 1/2 cup sourdough discard
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • 2 tsp olive oil

Instructions
 

  • Combine all ingredients in a food processor.
  • Blend until a pasty dough forms.
  • Lay a piece of parchment paper on a flat surface.
  • Spread the dough on the parchment paper as thinly as possible.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (if your model requires it).
  • Transfer the parchment with the dough into the air fryer basket or tray.
  • Air fry for 5 minutes.
  • Remove the basket and score the dough into squares with a pizza cutter or knife.
  • If preferred, skip scoring and break crackers into pieces after full cooking.
  • Return the dough to the air fryer.
  • Continue to air fry for an additional 20 minutes or until crackers are golden brown.
  • Allow the crackers to cool before removing them from the basket. They will crisp up further as they cool.
  • Store the cooled crackers in an airtight container to maintain freshness.
  • Enjoy as a snack on their own or as part of a charcuterie board.
