The Best Homemade Breakfast Sausage Recipe
- 1 meat grinder optional
- 1 large skillet
- 1 large bowl
- 1 small bowl
- 2 lbs ground pork or meat of your choice
- 4 tsp salt
- 4 tsp black pepper
- 2 tsp ground sage
- 2 tsp ground fennel seed
- 2 tsp thyme
- 3 tsp cayenne pepper
- Run 2lbs of pork butt through a meat grinder twice. You can also buy plain ground pork and save this step.
- Mix all of your dry spices together in a small bowl.
- In a large bowl combine the dry spices with the ground pork. Use your hands to get all of the spices well incorporated into the meat.
- Shape into patties.
